A
beautiful young woman visits the castle of her late father who
she's seen only in pictures. He's recently deceased and she's
been summoned for a reading of the will. She arrives and we find
out that he kept her in one type of boarding school or another
her entire life, then died here with his second wife and her family.
Her family is made up of insane people, lesbians, the blind, and
insane blind lesbians. Then things really get bizarre.
From Jesus Franco, famed for his exploitation/shock films, this
one isn't a keeper. This flick barely belongs in the zombie catagory,
there are no zombies in it. Some dead people hanging around, but
they're really just weirdos that refuse to die, not really zombies.
Incidentally, there were zombies in the deleted scenes. One might
wonder what the hell is going on with the title, but the original
title was Christine, Princess of Eroticism. Later is was
released as A Virgin Among the Living Dead, you'd think when this
was done they might stick the zombies back in, but no - that would
make too much sense.
The only good thing about this movie was the nudity, and there
was tons of it. The main character is gorgeous and rarely wore
clothes. Also the end, as I interpreted it, wasn't bad. Not really
good, either. An implied twist just isn't enough to save a movie
this disappointing. It's basically eighty minutes of nudity and
amazingly bad dialog with one slightly creepy scene thrown in
so they can call it horror.
2 out of 10 blood-drinking, naked, blind, lesbians that may or
may not be a zombie
