Mankind,
for generations, has been protected by an ancient bloodline of
protectors that defend it against hordes of the undead, but now
that bloodline is down to its last survivor and he is not
as noble as his many predecessors. Thats right horror fans,
the fate of mankind rests in the hands of a corrupt, degenerate,
self-obsessed cop. Will our hero be able to redeem himself and
save the world or will he sit back and allow all of hells
zombies and dark souls to rise up and take control of our world
and have their own Armageddon? Well thats the question isnt
it, for the answer youll have to go out and find yourself
a copy of Chris Watsons Zombiegeddon.
OK,
Im not going to lie to you this one is a complete B-movie
stinkpile from start to finish, but you tell me one other movie
where you can get Tom Savini as Jesus, Edwin Neal as God, Joe
Estevez as a prince of hell and Lloyd Kaufman as a janitor afraid
of ass-raping homosexual zombies, a Uwe Boll intro and more B-movie
celeb cameos than you can shake a $5 dollar copy of House
of the Dead at? All of that alone makes this one at least
worth a little look see, dont ya think?
Watson
truly makes a terrible movie in Zombiegeddon, horrific
dialog, a plot that jumps around more than kangaroo on a pogo
stick (I know that was bad, but you try coming up with something
new after a few hundred reviews!), and at times some of the worst
acting ever to be put on film. But as bad as it is, you just kind
of keep watching it and going along with it, I mean anytime I
see a kung-fu fight between a bunch of zombies and a man and his
zombie-eating pet tiger, Im always going to be somewhat
happy with the product.
Zombiegeddon
has its share of gore as well, its cheap and bright
red, but it flows and heads splatter through out this one. Amidst
the crimson showers is a whos who of horror and celeb cameos,
I mean every one is in this one. Along with the names mentioned
above there is Brinke Stevens, Robert ZDarr (You may not
know the name, but you know the face!), Ron Jeremy, Felissa Rose,
Conrad Brooks, Trent Haaga and even Linnea Quigley. Whew! Thats
quite a bit of casting wouldnt you say?
Like
I said the story is all over the place and the main characters
are laughable at best, but in the end Zombiegeddon was
just fun to watch and a good one to kick back with, with a bunch
of friends and just make fun of for funs sake and take the
film for what it is.
