Earth receives a message from outer space, after breaking the
code scientists find it holds the human DNA code and begin to
copy the code into living flesh. Professor Xavier Fitch heads
the program of creating Sil, the name given to the experiment,
a little girl. It is quickly learned that the code held more than
just the map of human DNA. Sil escapes the lab and makes her break
for freedom. Having an accelerated growth rate, healing factor
and an enhanced instincts, Sil changes from cute little girl to
a ravishing beauty played by Natasha Henstridge.
With
the experiment on the loose Xavier brings in a team to hunt her
down.
Military
specialist Preston Lennox (Micheal Madson), Dan Smithson - an
empath, and two medical specialists: Stephen Arden and Laura Baker.
Led by Xavier the team goes on the hunt for Sil. With a few being
bumped off along the way of course.
Species
is a pretty decent flick, Sil was designed by HR Giger and the
effects are quite good. There is some pretty decent kill scenes
and lots of good effects dealing with Sil, plus Natasha isn't
afraid to show a little skin every once in awhile either. Pretty
much your standard man playing God and now has to kill his creation
before it gets loose movie, but not bad at all.
