Hunting Humans
Who lives and who dies when the hunter becomes the hunted?
Reviewed by Misfortune

Aric Blue is your average, everyday guy. Working in a mortgage office selling loans. Only he has a special hobby, he likes to kill. Unlike the serial killers of the past. He has no set way to kill. He will use whatever comes to mind. He stalks his victims till he has all their patterns down. Killing them at his leisure. Stabbing, poisoning, shooting.. A total sociopath.

But now, Aric has a problem. Another killer is hunting him, and now they are competing. Trying to one-up each other, proving who can do the worst. As each goes further and further, the risks start to build, and they are going to have to go after each other.

This movie is one of the nicest independent films I've seen in a long time. I always watch the actual movie before going to special features the first time around. After seeing this movie, I went to the making of, and to my surprise learned the budget for this movie was about 10k. The effects were done very nicely, with plenty of gore, and some nudity. The filmmakers are your average horror fans that pooled their money together and made a film of their own.

I think one of the best parts of this movie are the killers voice-overs which is what he is thinking. Not only are they insightful, they are usually very funny, as he lets us know exactly what he thinks of the people around him.

Because this was done by true fans, it was made with horror fans in mind. This is not some cheap slasher flick. It's a cheap, well made slasher flick. The only thing that was off were the gunshots. You could tell they were sound effects. They probably couldn't get the permits needed to shoot in a residential area.

I think this movie is a good lesson for Hollywood. You don't need to have a huge budget to make a good horror film. You just need people who know what horror fans really want.
