While
waiting to board a plane bound for Paris with his fellow senior

into flames. After convincing a few friends and a teacher to stay
off of the plane, they all watch from the window as the plane
explodes after take off. Since Alex has saved their lives they
think that all is well, but soon after the crash the survivors
start turning up dead in horrible and bizarre accidents. They
soon learn that death is after them all for being cheated out
of their lives on the plane crash.
Brought to you by two of the great talents behind the X-Files,
Glen Morgan and James Wong, comes the dark story of fate and unbreakable
destiny.
I can't really say what’s good or what’s bad with this movie,
but you just kinda follow it all the way through. Although at
no point was I blown away, well except for the EXCLLENT bus scene,
I was also never bored in the story. The excellent plot and very
decent effects were great. Even the cast, full of quasi teen stars
like Brendan Fehr, Kerr Smith, Ali Larter and a post American
Pie Sean William Scott, did a pretty good job.
Although there is a little gore there is some great harshness
in some of the kill scenes, although I have to admit that some
of the kill lead-ups were a bit long, they were all pretty good.
A decent flick all the way through and full of some sudden jumps,
a couple of good kills, very creepy atmosphere and a decent ending
make Final Destination a very good rent and maybe possible purchase
if found in the $10 range.
5/10
