Finnigan and his boat crew, Pantucci the mechanic & Leila the hot little Asian first mate, are making a journey into the unknown. They have been hired by a man named Hanover to take him and his group to a spot in the middle of nowhere. Unbeknownst to Finnigan and his crew, Hanover and his men plan on hijacking and robbing the Argonautica, the largest, most expensive ocean liner in the world.

They find only three survivors. The owner of the ship, the captain and jewel thief Trillian St. James, the gorgeous Famke Janssen {X-Men} They tell a horrifying tale of giant undersea worms that attacked and killed everyone on board. These things don't just kill you, they swallow you whole, and digest you alive, drinking all your fluids. When they are done, they spit the skeletonized carcasses out in huge piles. With people being picked off one by one, they have to get back off the liner, fix the boat and get away before they all become worm food.

I think they gave an actual scientific explanation of what the things are, but it's too damn complicated to put down. The wormy things are really nasty, the CGI is done well, and they look very realistic for something I'm not sure really exists...

There are tons of gore, people are sliding all over it. Body parts, a torso, entrails of every conceivable shape and size. Even a half-digested living guy who looks a lot better then that crap in Anaconda. No nudity, but do not despair, Famke spends a lot of the movie in a small, white tank top, and it is wet through most of the movie.

Ordinarily, this would be your average horror movie. I mainly bought it because I like Famke Janssen so much. I was surprised at how much I liked it. Other then the gore, and Famke's wardrobe, I didn't think there would be much else to it. While it is no Aliens, I enjoy a movie where the people are at least armed well enough to try to at least keep the monsters at bay from time to time. I was getting kind of sick of people just running around screaming like idiots in so many movies. Overall, this is no epic, but a nice movie to check out when you are looking for a gorefest.

6 out of 10 possibly existing ocean worms.
