Critters
ALIENS
Reviewed by jareprime
They bite.

Pack up the kids and put away the chickens cause the Crites are coming to earth for a little fun and a lot of trouble. I liked this one, but then again I loved Gremlins and this was a cheap knockoff to say the least. The Crites were intergalactic criminals that escaped and crash land on earth. The Crites themselves are small furry little reptile looking guys with huge mouths and bigger teeth. They also have the ability to shoot small spikes from their backs that can paralyze or make their victims a little drowsy for easier digesting.

The Crites land in a small rural community and end up terrorizing one small family throughout the entire night, until back up arrives in the form of two shape shifting bounty hunters out to collect on the Crites hides.

This one has all your standard alien fare, crazy town guy who no one believes, random encounters with the creatures and finally alien overrun. Critters is cheesy but it serves it up well, one of my favorite scenes is where the two Crites are on the front porch of the farmhouse and they realize that the humans have weapons. If you have not seen the movie in awhile that little image should bring a smile to your face, if not go out and rent Critters to see what your missing. Besides that how can a movie be bad if one of the heroes real name is Billy Green Bush.
