At Dawn they Sleep
Reviewed by The Horrorist

A pair of dealers in a drug war with their competition spend the night with a couple of strange chicks and wake up vampires. They go on a gory rampage that also involves angels and Armageddon, but mostly just shooting people in the noggin.

Not a bad little indie creation. The acting was surprisingly well done mostly, and the gore was abundant. Also unlike most, the pacing was done well. So often these no-budget flicks are self-edited or not edited at all, so you get some really unreasonable scene drags, but that wasn’t a problem here. Also it’s really packed with action, so there’s not much time for lull.

However, it was really just a cross between a crime and vampire story, which is becoming an increasingly common storyline lately amongst the indie horrorers, and it’s been done better, really.

Just the same, there’s some very innovative killing going on here, also a great looking demon and some seriously creepy and harsh images. Also lots of people getting blasted in the noggin.
