At last the story of J-Lo, Ice Cube, a big black snake and a huge reptile... ha ha it is funny even if I'm the only one that gets it. Now onto the review.

OK first off let me say I love huge animal movies, ya know Jaws, Night of the Grizzly and even Cujo to a point, so my review may be a little biased. Anyhow, this is by no means a bad horror-style survivor chase flick. You have all the classic cast here the smart girl, the stoner dude, the party girl, a bad ass black guy and of course in any animal flick the mad hunter trying to catch the beast.

Jon Voight is perfect in this flick. His style of acting as Sarone the snake hunter could not have been more overplayed unless William Shatner did it.

But enough of the humans lets get to the snake. It looks good, a mix of animatronics and CGI but it comes off quite well and some of the kill scenes are quite delightfull as well. The plot is simple fare, 7-8 people going down the Amazon as a hungry critter is in pursuit

OOOOOOOOHHH I wonder who will be the last one standing? I don't care because it takes my mind off of being dirt poor for about an hour and a half.

All in all this is really not a bad movie, a must for anyone who has anyone close to them that is scared to death of snakes, it is worth it just to see them cringe every time something slithers by on the screen.
